Anyone good at solving computer problems????Mine won't load windows XP on startup. It comes up with a screen that tells me to use the Last Known Good Configuration and gives options of using safe mode and other safe mode choices. I have tried all 4 options the screen gives me but they all seem to just restart my computer. Any suggestions on what to do about this?

Ground Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself" and people who get tagged need to write an lj entry about their 5 weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I HATE talking on the phone (most of my friends know this). I think it is because of the awkward silences and that you can‘t see facial expressions. I can’t stand more than a second of silence on the phone and I end up saying something stupid just to end the silence. Don’t expect more than a 5 min phone call with me.

2. When I was really little, I desperately wanted to be a famous singer. I even did my 5th grade “When I grow up” speech on it. My grandpa still tells everyone that I am a great singer even though I haven’t sang in front of anyone since 5th grade.

3. I love animals in human clothes. Especially chimps.

4. I crack my hip about 5 times a day. It makes a sound like a ping pong ball. I really like that sound.

5. My biggest fear is having someone sneak up behind me when I’m looking in a mirror. For this reason, while washing my face, I always keep one eye open. I keep my left eye open, wash the right side of my face, dry it, and then do the same on the other side.

I'm not into the tagging

This picture was on the google label today

I've been trying to figure out what is going on here.  The cat is giving the mouse a plug. And the mouse is going to plug it into a christmas tree maybe?   Is today a holiday that I don't know about? maybe I'm just really dumb but somebody please explain this one.

I just finished taking my first final, Stats and probability for elementary teachers. For those of you thinking, "what do you need that for? don't you already know how to do statistics?" Looking at statistics from a kids point of view is way different than how I think about statistics. Imagine trying to teach a kid what the average is without just telling them, "add up all the numbers and divide". .... anyways....to my point...one of the questions on my final was about Cullen Finnerty. Cullen Finnerty was the star of my final exam!!! Something about that just seems wrong. I know the teacher was probably just trying to use a question that would be interesting for us. oh well....i guess its up to cullen to give me an A

Once again, forgot to take my camera with me this weekend...highlights:

-met an adorable dog named Earl
-tied a cherry stem in a knot with ONLY my mouth
-made some amazing sundaes
-harry potter at the IMAX...which was a really tiny theatre for such a gigantic screen
-had a good 2 hour conversation about the harry potter movie(yes we are nerds)...and Lauren and I both admitted we were kinda checking out harry during the movie...creepy? he's gotta be at least 16 though:)
-listened to some people having sex
-rounded off the visit with a good chat at starbucks

overall, it was a really fun trip...and it made me mad that I haven't been there more this semester and also made me excited for xmas break!!!

Really random but weirdly entertaining site: http://web.syr.edu/%7Eshkim06/final_stevekim.html

I go to Einstein pretty much every other day (so THAT'S where all my debit went!)...but anyways, I always get a honey bagel with strawberry or pumpkin cream cheese. And they always ask me if I want it toasted, and I always say No. and I ALWAYS end up getting a toasted bagel. Doesn't bother me really...the toasted taste is kind of growing on me. It's just strange that this happens almost every day.

On another note....yoga is kicking my butt!! Even the pregnant lady in class is more flexible than me. I tried to show Kate and Josh my yoga moves the other night to impress them. Then they tried them and turns out both of them along with everyone in the world is better at yoga than me. Still loving it though!

Finally changed the picture in this thing. I'm really attatched to the old chagall glass window one though....it will be my background on my computer untill the day I die (I fear change??). But anyways...this background is heathers goldfish from freshman year (I forget the name!!! beaner something or other??)

If anyone is interested in seeing Harry Potter next weekend at the IMAX in lansing...let me know!

Got up early...went to tutoring...no kids anywhere? Turns out they were all in art or gym and something and they forgot to tell to come earlier. So now my tuesdays and thursdays are ruined by getting up at 7:00 :(

For tutoring we were reading this book called "Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief". Out of boredom I looked the book up on Amazon and read some of the reviews. I liked all of the Kids reviews, especially this one:

It's so cool. All of Sammy Keys books are great!I love the
writing and stories.Sammy keys is way better then Nancy Drew!
Nancy Drew is always doing the right thing.Sammy does the
wrong things sometime wtich makes more fun

Haha...this kids is gonna grow up to be a trouble maker

After reading those reviews I was still pretty bored, so I went to see if there was still a Laura.com (It used to be this site with pictures of this little girl). but NOW....you need a password to get into laura.com! I think all laura's should be allowed access to this site...it is my name after all! I tried laurahowell.com and was pleased to see that i was allowed to see some pretty artwork without being asked for a password

My six week yoga class has offcially started and I have one word to describe it...OUCH! Sure I know what you are thinking....psshhhh YOga?? but i'm serious that I could barely get out of bed the next morning. I think it must have something to do with me only going to the rec center 2 times this semester (during the second week after school started). I'm hoping it will be easier to get out of bed each morning after. Our instructor told us we were working up to doing handstands. I have never done a handstand in the past, and do not plan on doing one in the future. When I was little I was always jealous of those gymnastics girls that could do round-offs and all kinds of weird flips. Not me. I did the occasional half cartwheel and that's about it. If I do learn to do a handstand this semester I will be giving everyone lots of demonstrations.

I've been tutoring a 5th grader in reading over the past few weeks. The other day he asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I actually thought about it for a second and then thought "wait a minute, I already know what I'm going to be". It was kind of a scary realization that my days of dreaming of being a singer/doctor/dogwalker are OVER FOREVER. I know what I am going to be for the rest of my life and there is no turning back now. So far I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track but I guess I won't know till I start my job.

You know that automated voice on the Rapid? The one that says "Stop Requested" and "Thank you for riding the Rapid".....well today it said, "Please refrain from talking loudly and using profane language"...I didn't know it could do that! Has anyone ever heard it say anything else?

I ran the family 5K this weekend. And by ran...I mean I jogged for about 100 ft and walked the rest of the race. Somehow I still ended up in 86th place. woohoo!

I wish powerpoint was never invented. Now that we are getting to the group project part in my classes, all we do is listen to people read off slide after slide of size 2 font. Why do people feel like they can't say anything in front of the class unless they are reading it. I admit I used to be guilty of this...but then I realized...no one is judging you as harshly as you think they are. If you mess up, chances are no one even will notice because half the class probably isnt listening to you...especially if you are using powerpoint. So do everyone a favor...next time you do a project in front of the class...DON'T use powerpoint (*gasp!)

By the way...anyone know when applebees is opening? I'm craving it.
